Message from the President

Preparing for 2020-2021 Season
Your AMHA Executive is working hard behind the scenes in preparation for a 2020-2021 season. We are working with the Township of Langley and Fraser Health to ensure we have a plan in place to protect the wellbeing and safety of our players and families while enjoying the game of ice hockey.

The advent of the Covid-19 pandemic has substantially shifted our way of life and impacts how youth sports can be supported.
We must learn new ways to be together on the ice, in the dressing rooms, in the stands and in and around the arenas.
We are determining how we can meet the physical distancing requirements and still play the game of hockey.

When will it happen?
We remain optimistic that we will have a 2020-2021 season but at this time are waiting for confirmation from the Township around ice at our arena.
We are moving ahead and planning for a September start and will be sharing more on what that will look like in the coming weeks.

Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to ensure we will have an enjoyable, safe, and competitive season for all our players.

Thank you,
Ben White
AMHA President

Dear Aldergrove Minor Hockey Members,

We hope that you have all been keeping safe and healthy during this time. We want to update you to the best of our ability the 2020/21 season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we are uncertain at this time as to how the season will look or even when the season will start. We are in constant contact with Hockey Canada, BC Hockey, Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association to offer any assistance we can in creating a plan going forward as to the best way to start the season while ensuring the safety of our players, coaches, staff, executive, as well as the family and friends. This upcoming season may look different than previous years but we are continually working towards getting our players on the ice this fall.

With all of this in mind we are going to open our registration on May 15, 2020 for the 2020/21 season. We continue to be hopeful that we will all be gathering at the rink soon therefore we need to plan and continue to prepare as we always have.

We will be doing things a little bit differently during this time. We will be offering two payment options for the
upcoming season.
• Register and pay in full as done in previous seasons
• Register and pay in four (4) installments. Should you choose the payment plan the initial payment will be $125, with installment payments on July 1, September 1 and October 1. If you register after July 1 the initial payment will still be $125, however the remainder due will be broken into two payments instead of three.

We will only be accepting credit card payments at this time. While we are working with our bank to set up e-transfers this is not yet available. We are currently not accepting payments via cheques or cash for the safety of both yourselves, our registrar and our accountant. If you are applying for financial assistance please provide the registrar with the confirmation of the application and the confirmation of approval once received.

Once you have finalized your online registration you must email a copy of the signed Parent Code of Conduct and the Player’s Medical form to in order for your registration to be complete.
We would recommend that you register as soon as you can to avoid potentially being placed on a waitlist for your age group.

Registration is open exclusively to our returning players until June 15th. We will be accepting new player registrations as of June 15th. Should you know of anyone who wishes to register or is transferring to our association please have them contact the registrar directly as our process for new player/transferring player registration will be changing this year as well.

If you encounter any problems with the registration process, please contact Melissa Phillipson at
